We beleive that after producing many thousands of frames in several different materials, the ones we offer now are our best ever. Read our "Front Safari "pages to find out more.
What is the difference between a Safari Window and a Pop Out ?
If your new to Splitscreen buses , window terminology can be confusing. Read on and all will become clear (or tinted).
When ever we refer to a Safari Windows, we are talking about an opening window with a Metal frame around it that is hinged at the top. They are secured by slides that are clamped open at the desired amount by tightening Butterfly Bolts. They are kept closed by lever catches. Safrai Windows are available in Front , Side and Rear applications. To our knowlage, Volkswagen only manufactured Front Safaris that were only offered primered for painting.
Pop Outs are Side windows with metal frames, that are hinged at either the leading or rear verticle ends. They only "Pop" open a few inches and are secured by an over centre catch. They are easily recognised by their external rubber seal. By being available to hinge at either end, you can have the front one hinged at the back so it scoops air in and all others hinged at the front so as to open at the back and let air out. Kool. We sell hinges seperately if you want to add extra pop outs.
We also offer a modern "Frameless" Side Pop Out that is all glass with polished edges. It to is hinged at either verticle end and uses an original pop out catch. It suits a very modern "Clean" looking bus.
Can I use my Non Opening side glass and fit it into a Pop Out Frame ?
The answer is no. Only glass taken out of original Pop Outs can be fitted into new Pop Out frames. We can of course supply new Pop Out size glass if you require it.
Do you supply glass for every window ?
Yes I think we can, and in three different colours. Go to our Glass page for a full listing.
